TildeTech has released a new Free Dictionary tool using Princeton's WordNet dictionary. If installed, this dictionary can also be accessed from any of TildeTech's word games.
With this release, TildeTech is now providing the full version of the Hangman game for free - a Registration Code is no longer required to unlock the full version of the Hangman game.
The Word Games and Free Dictionary installation kits are identical, containing all five word games, the Free Dictionary tool, and the Standard word games dictionary. This kit is about 1MB smaller than the previous installation kits.
A new Dictionaries installation kit is now available with the five word games dictionaries (Easy, Medium, Standard, Hard and UK English), plus the WordNet word definitions file needed for the Free Dictionary tool. Since these files will rarely change, they are now provided in a separate kit, making the Software installation kit smaller - which is what will typically be downloaded when a software update is release.
This release also contains several changes to the WordNet functionality provided in all of the word games and the Free Dictionary tool, including a reduction in size of the WordNet definitions file by around 670KB and a reduction in run-time memory usage by an additional 4.5MB.
All TildeTech 6.1 software is now available at TildeTech's online store partners.
